OUR HISTORY

In 2019, Rodney Barnes, GCS president, and his colleague started a concrete construction company that focused primarily on general flatwork. From the day the business was established, the goal was to become the entrusted concrete construction company in the area. The focus was always on growth. Three years later, in May of 2022, Barnes took a risk and acquired a concrete business that had been established for over 18 years. The two businesses, along with the employees, merged as one in an effort to maximize the possibilities for success.

Global Concrete Systems is the outcome of multiple collaborations, meaning that the team is made up of people from a wide-range of concrete career backgrounds who united together to make GCS what it is today – a successful, established business made up of people with decades of experience. Together, the team at GCS brings fresh ideas and expert knowledge to the table.

The people of GCS are one big family – a family that values professionalism just as much as it values friendliness and fun.
